Diretto dal Teatro tascabile di Bergamo
Datano al 1974 i primi esperimenti sul teatro di strada del TTB, nati con lo scopo di rompere le barriere che, allora come oggi, dividono i differenti pubblici e per andare a cercare persone che non si sarebbero mai accostate al teatro. Il Tascabile ha poi sviluppato e approfondito una propria specificità: il teatro di strada è inteso come teatro d’arte, ossia spettacoli che posseggono tutta l’intensità e la precisione che normalmente sono propri degli spettacoli al chiuso e la cui drammaturgia si modella sulla relazione tra l’attore e lo spazio scenico aperto o non convenzionale. Oggi il Tascabile viene riconosciuto tra i maggiori specialisti del teatro di strada in Europa (Mirella Schino, Il crocevia del Pontedera, Bulzoni 1997).
In questo contesto l’utilizzo e la continua ricerca sull’uso dei trampoli ricopre per il TTB un ruolo assai importante, che l’ha portato a sviluppare un elaborato approccio pedagogico basato su differenti aspetti dell’utilizzo di questo strumento.
Il laboratorio, aperto a chi ha già esperienza dello strumento, è suddiviso in “classi”, a seconda delle differenti competenze dei partecipanti. Spazierà dagli esercizi di equilibrio, all’ampia gamma di camminate, alle salite e discese a terra, alla sperimentazione del lavoro di coppia, fino ad arrivare a creare semplici coreografie con o senza accompagnamento musicale.

THE ART OF STILTS

TTB’s first experiments in street theatre date back to 1974. They were born with the aim of breaking down the barriers that, today as in the past, divide different audiences and toreach out to people who otherwise would never have approached theatre. Tascabile has since developed and deepened its own specificity: street theatre is understood as art theatre, i.e. performances that possess all the intensity and precision normally associated with indoor performances and whose dramaturgy is modelled on the relationship between the actor and the open or unconventional stage space. Nowadays Tascabile is recognised as one of the leading specialists in street theatre in Europe (Mirella Schino, Il crocevia del Pontedera, Bulzoni 1997).
In this context, the use and continuous research on the use of stilts plays a very important role for TTB, resulting in the development of an elaborate pedagogical approach based on different aspects of the use of this tool.
The workshop will be divided into “classes” according to the different competences of the participants. It will include initial instructions on how to construct and position the footwear, balance exercises, as well as a wide range of walks, ascents and descents on the ground, pair work, and finally the creation of simple choreographies with or without musical accompaniment.
